Legal acts should be synonymous with ethical acts. Likewise, illegal acts are normally immoral acts. In other words, if someone does something illegal, say shoot a person, it’s illegal and likely immoral.
I used to think those statements were true. I believed and trusted that our laws were based on what’s right and true and moral for us all.
But it’s been more than a month and the police in Florida have STILL not arrested that man with the small beady eyes for the alleged murder of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.
I don’t want to believe this injustice. I don’t understand. I’m trying to understand why that man with the small beady eyes has not been arrested for the murder.
Okay. Let’s step back and take a look at this conundrum. Hummm. On one side we have our laws that say don’t kill innocent, non-combatants. On the other side sits George Zimmerman’s free will to use excessive force to shoot and kill an un-armed 17-year-old boy. And in the middle, there’s The Right Thing To Do.
What’s the problem???
I don’t understand why the legal system is letting us down. This is a slap in the face to all Righteousness and Justice.
Mr. Legal System: Please be fair and impartial. Arrest Mr. Zimmerman and let the process determine his guilt or innocence.
